I am loving this weather! It really makes it hard to stay inside and work all day. Today has been a pretty great day so far though. Getting plenty of work done, had lunch with my favorite girls, and after work I'm heading to Ashley's to play with the kids. I haven't seen them in a while and am really missing them! I'll see them a lot over this holiday weekend but I'll have to share them with family, so I'm going to go get my Aunt Kelly time. Might even ride the go-cart... which I have avoided so far but my excuse for not riding at Christmas doesn't really hold up anymore. Wonder if Sam will let me drive? Hopefully he's had plenty of practice these last 3 months and is an excellent driver (as excellent as a 5 year old can be when driving a go-cart and blocks strapped to his feet). Here's hoping we don't end up in a hay bale and on next month's America's Funniest Home Videos.
Don't you just love spring? Everything is so green, flowers are blooming (I could do without the pollen though honestly, and as if on cue I totally just sneezed while typing that), and we get to bring out a whole new wardrobe that has been forgotten in our closets for the last 6 months. And the shoes! Sandals, flip flops, and wedges galore! eeek so exciting!
Speaking of, I was driving down Main Street in Durham today on the way to lunch and noticed no less than 20 girls walking around in what could barely qualify as enough material to be considered an outfit. Wouldn't their mothers be so proud! Apparently spring also brings out their inability to wear clothes that cover. Girls, this is Durham (read: Sketchville). Let's try not to walk around dressed like a future statistic. Just sayin.
